Thinking about the Big Love controversy. So the sacred inside of a Mormon temple will be shown on Big Love. Mormons are offended, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) officially says, don't boycott HBO or the show, because that will create more news coverage and controversy and make things worse. So what do the church-owned radio station and TV station do? Make a HUGE deal about it on every day's local call-in show (that's you, Doug Wright) and evening newscast. They are being titillating and disrespectful just like the producers of the show (one of whom is otherwise-likable Tom Hanks). Comments?
By the way, M83 is verry verry cool sounding. http://www.myspace.com/m83 Listen to them, buy their music. Yeah.
So I just watched Jimmy Fallon's show on NBC. A lot of fun, and somewhat funny. (Loving the geography jokes.) http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/clips/the-gadsden-purchase-3909/1057109/ But then Carson Daly was actually more fun afterward. Why didn't he get the gig? Will Conan be good enough for the Tonight Show? Burning questions.
